Do you know how to get the area of a triangle and an area of a circle?

OpenStudy (mimiii3):

no i don't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay! So. We'll start off with the triangle. For your triangle, we can use a trick called the Pythagorean theorem to get the side on the left. Since you probably haven't learned it yet. I'll just tell you that side is 6. So. We know the three sides of the triangle: |dw:1457475732044:dw| So we get area of a triangle by doing b * h * 0.5: Do you think you can plug that in?

Why not Google "area of a circle" and " area of a triangle?" It'd be very useful to know how to obtain this kind of info yourself.

1. Find the area of the triangle. 2. Find the area of the circle. 3. \(\huge Area_{triangle} - Area_{circle}\)
