6÷2(1+2)=?
Okay well, lets do this in order, do you know of PEMDAS?
Ye.
Alright, so we know parentheses come first --> 1 + 2 = ?
3
That leaves our equation to be \[6 \div 2(3)\] and we solve from the order which it comes in. So first find out how many times 2 goes into 6
then multiply that by 3 to get you answer...
18/2 = 9
We have to PEMDAS We know P stands for parenthesis so we do 1+2=3. We know there is no exponents so we skip that part. We multiply and divide from left to right so we then do 6 divide by which gets us 3. So then we do 3 times 3 which gets us 9. So your answer is 9 😉
Sorry * you divide 6 by the 2 which gets you 3
Now, don't always do the multiplication first, because in certain cases you can get it wrong
I cannot believe this is 11th grade homework for me xD
Is it really? Wow!
What? Thats crazy.. we don't have that on my course
This is 4th grade classwork
I agree ^^^ I did this a long time ago Haha. We all do different courses and go to different schools though
True true.. but even with the common core thing (Unless private school) should be similar
Agreed. A lot of people are doing online schooling now like k12 and Connections Academy. I know that those two are more advanced towards their math courses. Yes, they all should be similar but sadly their not 😔 All schools have their own ways of teaching, fast or slow, and some are better than others.
We will help no matter what though :) That's what we're here for!
Yep! And yes, I use K12 as well as FLVS and k12 is very advanced when it comes to certain courses
