Wait i just went back to my lesson it says the only way to make a logarithmic function cross the y-axis and have a y-intercept is to give the function a horizontal shift
Hayhayz (hayhayz):
it says if the parent function is f(x)=log10 x, then a transformation of f(x+2) will result in the function being shifted two units to the left, across the y-axis. only horizontal shifts to the left will make a y-intercept occur.
should i just write that?
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
yeah ! you are correct

but it asks which transformation.. the transformation is the horizontal shift?
