Do you know the Pythagorean theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1457642109790:dw| \[b^2 = c^2 - a^2\] To get side AC.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still confused though, I don't have side A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea you do. :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look at side BC. That is equal to the 'a' in my diagram.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it would be \[b^2=84\] So b = squareroot(84) = 9.165
