What is the main conflict in Beowulf?
Here: major conflict. The poem essentially consists of three parts. There are three central conflicts: Grendel's domination of Heorot Hall; the vengeance of Grendel's mother after Grendel is slain; and the rage of the dragon after a thief steals a treasure that it has been guarding. -Google
the options are greed versus evil good versus evil peace versus unrest love versus hatred
I am not sure since I haven't read this story but from the information above what do you think?
i was thinking good vs evil
@MissSmartiez What you think?
To be honest I don't know since I haven't read that story before. Sorry...
ok thanks!
Honestly, I haven't heard of this story, however, let me conduct research.
"Beowulf" is an Old English -- or Anglo-Saxon -- epic poem about the heroic deeds of the title character, a Geat leader and warrior. Conflict is the struggle the characters must overcome in order to succeed. A reader could say the main conflict in "Beowulf" is good vs. evil, but this epic actually does not have a single central conflict: It has three." http://education.seattlepi.com/central-conflict-beowulf-5791.html
