Point P(2, 3) is reflected across the y-axis to create point P'. Determine the quadrant of the image. A.I B.II C.III D.IV

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

When a point is reflected across the y-axis the x-coordinate turns into its opposite. Meaning that if let's say point A is (1,2) and it was reflected across the y-axis, then it would be A'(-1, 2).

I know it just the Roman numerals that is getting me

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Use that same kind of concept for this problem. Just turn Point P(2, 3) to make sure that the x-coordinate turns into it's opposite. \[\large \text{(Opposite, Same)}\]
