OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

@usercode3rror

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

I think its multiplying -4

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

I think ur right..

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

but my answer for S7 isnt in the answer choices @K12awesomeness

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

for S7 i got 24,576

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

ohh

OpenStudy (k12awesomeness):

I don't know....

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

I don't have paper and I'm on a phone, so I can't validate this, but I believe finding all the numbers than adding them up should work 6-24 is -18 -18+96 is 78 And so on

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

@shaik0124

rishavraj (rishavraj):

see u need to answer the sum of first seven terms.... and u see the common ratio is -4 and \[S_n = a \frac{ 1 - r^n }{ 1 - r }\]

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

explain how to set it up please

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

with the numbers from the problem

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

@rish so it's finding S1 through S7, then adding them all? I never learned this myself, wouldn't mind to

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@SnowCrystal see the first term is 6 , the second is -24 , third is 384 and so on and ratio is -24/6 or384/(-24) = -4

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

omg i did im so srry

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

i fixed it

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

it was supposed to be 19,662 for A
