My gentleness and good behaviour had gained so far on the emperor and his court, and indeed upon the army and people in general, that I began to conceive hopes of getting my liberty in a short time. I took all possible methods to cultivate this favourable disposition. The natives came, by degrees, to be less apprehensive of any danger from me. I would sometimes lie down, and let five or six of them dance on my hand; and at last the boys and girls would venture to come and play at hide-and-seek in my hair. I had now made a good progress in understanding and speaking the language. The emperor has a mind one day to entertain me with several of the country shows, where in they exceed all nations I have known, both for dexterity and magnificence. I was diverted with none so much as that of the rope-dancers, performed upon a slender white thread, extended about two feet, and twelve inches from the ground. Upon which I shall desire liberty, with the reader's patience, to enlarge a little. Which point of view is used in this passage? First-person, because the narrator uses words such as "I" and "my" Second-person, because the narrator speaks directly to the reader Third-person limited, because the narrator gives just one character's perspective Third-person omniscient, because the narrator knows what all characters are thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Englishguy I believe it is a because he does use the words "I" and "My" a few times but im not sure. im not very well at understanding text

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would be correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following would best express the most objective or impartial representation of an event? Speech Photograph Cartoon Editorial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe that the answer is C because with a cartoon you can make fun of the event @Englishguy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any idea?

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

Jamey would know better than me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

who is Jamey?

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

Englishguy :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know it can't be a speech, I also don't think it's an editorial. So that leaves a photograph and a cartoon. I think it's a photograph because it's just a picture of it, you're not taking any sides of an issue in that way. With a cartoon you are making fun of an aspect of a certain thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Doesn't "objetive" and "impartial" mean the opposite of something? lo like wouldn't a photograph just show the event or am i wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, it would be just showing the event, it wouldn't be explaining anything about it or showing and partiality to any part of it

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Perhaps you should post separate questions by closing this one and opening a new one. It would be much more convenient.

OpenStudy (gottennis121):

@Conqueror stop critizing man. He's new, give him a break.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

He is new, which is why it would be necessary to show him how to post new questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know how to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just did not find a reason too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Englishguy so it would be photograph?

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Well, it would be more convenient.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well help me with this please next question i will post newly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Conqueror
