@KamiBug and @KamiBug ONLY The formula rt+d is used to calculate distance if you know the rate and time. What is the equation for finding the time when given the rate and distance? rd=t d/r=t r=td r/d=t

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

@KamiBug is offline, I can help if you want.

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@kittiwitti1 ok u can help or @silveralchemist09 can help idk who

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Okay. Just checking, though - isn't the formula rt = d (distance equals rate multiplied by time)?\[\frac{?miles}{1hour}\times 8 hours\]That's just an example one btw

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Whew, the amount of lag from this side of the server is crazy. e_e

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@kittiwitti1 ok yeah that's what I thought it was want to help with more

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

rt = d is solving for DISTANCE given rate and time, which is why the d is isolated. If we want to solve for TIME given rate and distance, we isolate the t (the variable for time).\[rt=d\rightarrow t=?\]

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Oh... is the original formula all you were confused about? Whoops lol

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

@kittiwitti1 thank you....... that was good explanation

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

No problem (:
