jabez177 (jabez177):

How is the underlined noun clause used in this sentence? What I want to know is how we are going to pay for this. A. subject B. direct object C. predicate nominative D. object of a preposition

jabez177 (jabez177):

A.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

"how we are going to pay for this." is underlined. Is that correct?

jabez177 (jabez177):

My bad!! Yeah.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Ok, just checking :D I believe the answer is D because for is a preposition.

jabez177 (jabez177):

But that's in the end... :/

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Thats what just came to my mind right now. Im leaning towards A or B.

jabez177 (jabez177):

A direct object is a noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb.

jabez177 (jabez177):

"Is" is a verb but it is not a noun or pronoun... So I think it's A.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Ahh I see your point. Your right

jabez177 (jabez177):

Okay. :)
