@shamil98 @soprano.h.d0816 @skatergirl147 @soprano.h.d0816 @SupremeBookworm526 @Christian_10_ @CyberShadow

OpenStudy (soprano.h.d0816):

Which do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

etching only because its a very broad term and i remember an episode of pawn stars in which there was a centuries old etching so i know its old

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@soprano.h.d0816

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and now i realise that the other two options are forms of etching

OpenStudy (soprano.h.d0816):

It is old, but not the oldest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

relief

OpenStudy (soprano.h.d0816):

I was going with Intaglio. But you were very close and correct in them being a form of etching.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Relief Printing This is the oldest of the printing techniques. On the relief block – wood or metal – the non-printing areas are cut away and the ink is applied to the remaining raised areas by dabbing or with a roller. Then the ink is transferred by laying a sheet of paper and applying pressure.

is there an article that gave you that answer id like to know as much as possible

OpenStudy (soprano.h.d0816):

Intaglio (/ɪnˈtæli.oʊ/ in-TAL-ee-oh) is the family of printing and printmaking techniques in which the image is incised into a surface, and the incised line or sunken area holds the ink. It is the direct opposite of a relief print. Nevermind. You are correct in it being Relief Painting. I'm sorry I messed up... ):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just read that lol no problem thanks for the help i wouldve never got to this point without it

OpenStudy (soprano.h.d0816):

You're welcome love! (: I still feel bad about thinking you were wrong....
