The confusion is probably causedby the fact that the grid on the axes is not square. This means that the shape APPEARS to change during the transformation HOWEVER - if you look at the coordiates you can see that ABCD is not square - but is a 3x2 rectangle A'B'C'D' is ALSO a 3x2 rectangle (but rotated around) See if you can review it based on that. If not then I suggest you replot the diagram on 'normal' graph paper wher the grids are square and see if it becomes clear then.

It would make more sense if A' B' C' D' where a square and not a rectangle...
