the area formula for a circle is pi * radius ^2
MsBrains (ms-brains):
So C?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (dinamix):
10^2*pi = 100pi cuz s= r^2*pi

$$\Huge A=\pi r^2$$
OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
where r = the radius and A = the area of any circle.
OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
$$\Huge r^2 = r•r$$
MsBrains (ms-brains):
The answer is 100 m^2, right? @skullpatrol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
this is the formula Area = πr². r = radius btw and ² = squared

it is the radius x pi to the second power
MsBrains (ms-brains):
So choice C is incorrect?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it is 10π ². Also please forgive me for how long it takes to type these replies since I needed to look up how to type up these symbols.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
It is 314.16 meters
MsBrains (ms-brains):
Alright. 314.16 isn't a choice tho..
And it's alright

it is odd though that it is still ² since it shouldn't be if 100 is an answer but I would say just ask your teacher if it was a mistake
MsBrains (ms-brains):
Okay. So You agree that 100 is the answer?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
100πm is the answer. Just ask your teacher why it says 100πm²
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Yes that is the answer @Ms-Brains

Thank you all!

Because it's the area you are squaring the m part twice so you would do 10in)(10in) which is 100in^2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh yea I forgot that
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thx for the reminder
