Need clarification, as you probably do too. Are you stating that sin x = pi/6, or are you stating that sin pi/6 = something?

You can get the value of sin(theta) geometrically pretty easy. But it's not as easy for cos and tan. cos(pi/6) = sqrt(3)/2 and tan(pi/6)=sqrt(3)/3

|dw:1458511865787:dw| Math&ing001: I have 50+ years of experience with math and have yet to see "axis of sine" before. Please explain what you mean, or, better yet, choose a simpler explanation of how to find the values of the sine, cosine and tangent here.
