Nevermind, got it. The spot was white above. Lemme check one sec.
OpenStudy (ltrout):
So we're finding the blue portion correct?
OpenStudy (ltrout):
If so, you answer would be wrong. You want to find the blue portion after you subtract the circle's area from it.
OpenStudy (sbuck98):
Oh okay

No. Do you know what the area of the circle would be?
OpenStudy (ltrout):
The formula to find area is Pi * R. And the diameter is 2ft in this picture so the radius would be 1ft. 1 * Pi is Pi so 4ft (area of the square) - Pi would be the answer. So B.
OpenStudy (sbuck98):
Okay, can you check another one for me?
OpenStudy (ltrout):
Sure!
OpenStudy (sbuck98):
For this I got A

When you are finding the area of a shaded part like this inside another shape you are going to always subtract your looking at a smaller area what what you first started with
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Sorry that was for question one btw
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep, A looks correct for that one.
4^2=16
(16*Pi)/4=4*Pi
(4*Pi)*3=12*Pi
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Agreed @lemonhead4jesus
