Question here.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ok so the formula for circumference of a circle is\[2 \pi r=C\]
So you can substitute\[2 \pi r=36 \pi\]
Solve for r
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Then when you get r you can put that into the formula for area of a circle which is\[A=\pi r^2\] and simplify for the area
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
@Directrix
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
He told you how do it, the circumference=2pir so what is C?

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
im not sure lol
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
What is the circumference?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well get the r by itself @TylerMckinney16, divide 36pi by 2pi to get r
OpenStudy (anonymous):
And then substitute into the area formula
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Do you need to find area? I didn't see that part?

What is 36pi/2pi?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes the question asks for area
Also it's best if you figure out that part for yourself, that is essential algebra
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
18
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Yes now plug that into the formula pir^2
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
(18-r)

No
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
how do i do it lol?
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
It's the equation pir^2
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
81(pi)???
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
:/ r^r2 so r times r

What's your r that you just found?
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
18*18=324
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Yes
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
ok lol now what.
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
You can figure it out :)

You can do it :)
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
is it the answer lol?
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Don't forget the pi
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
what u mean
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Don't forget the pi, it's part of the equation pir^2

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
so i do 324*3.14?
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
You can leave pi you don't need to do that I don't think
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
But did i still leave it set up right?
OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):
@kayders1997
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
So 324pi
