this is one of the most important parts of the Declaration of Ind. Why not look up "Decl. of Ind." on the Internet and read the opening statements? That will do a lot to help you choose the right answer.

Learning history is more than just memorizing facts; we need to know how to do basic historical research when we learn the facts for the first time or have forgotten them.
