OpenStudy (mathmath333):

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

|dw:1459154662828:dw|

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

C

OpenStudy (adi3):

it cant be b or d

OpenStudy (adi3):

i think it is between a and c

OpenStudy (adi3):

go with @Pawanyadav

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

yes i also thought that first option c.) but in book the answer is option d.)

OpenStudy (adi3):

what

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

in book answer given is option d.)

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Oh.. You always says this.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

hmm thats why i posted here

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

As it is logical so everyone have a different logic about it..that's why answer mismatches

OpenStudy (adi3):

i tihnk its a like 51%

OpenStudy (adi3):

A

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

the logis has to be determined only from the para given , and we need to trust that everything written in the para is correct

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

I think C and D are similar..

OpenStudy (adi3):

d makes more sense tbh

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i also feel like d.) is correct but only after seeing the answer in book, every time I predict a wrong answer idk

OpenStudy (adi3):

ik it happens

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

lol but there should be some way to identify the correct one in this confusing types of que

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Yes d is correct

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

in exams i dont have a second chance

OpenStudy (adi3):

ik

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

So you have to understand lives of both urban and rural people to answer this question correct in first attempt

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i think the inclusion of "wives" in option d makes it more convinient

Parth (parthkohli):

C is an opinion; D is a fact. You always infer the facts before opinions.

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Really D is a fact

OpenStudy (adi3):

i think so

OpenStudy (pawanyadav):

Its a belief... not a fact

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

D is correct because they are running a comparison between rural and Indian husbands. Since they are running a comparison, and the comparison isn't contrary to the text one can say its a fact. Becuase if you give this passage to anyone and ask whether rural husbands are more satisfied urban, they would directly say urban. Now look at C, they are giving an opinion which for most of us sounds true. But lets say bring someone who knows squat about conservative behaviours, they will make different guesses. Even if you teach them the meaning of conservative behaviour, maybe through looking at some other factors, people would provide different conclusions So in nutshell, D is correct

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

@mathmath333

OpenStudy (phi):

A is not possible: there is no info in the paragraphs that tell us the side of families, and it's possible for either urban or rural to have more, less or the same number of children. We can't assume the women don't work because they have children (because the info is not given) B. again, no info given about employment opportunities, so (from the info *given*) you can't choose B C. Depends on the definition of conservative, which is not stated. D. 90% of rural husbands don't like their wives working. 25% of the wives work 60% of urban " don't like.... 50% work. I would say 90% is bigger than 60%, so we can say rural are less happy about working wives than urban husbands.
