help

OpenStudy (freemap):

Use a compass and a straightedge to construct a regular hexagon centered about point A. Do not erase any of your construction marks.

OpenStudy (freemap):

I just need the steps as before

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Do you know how to create equilateral triangles using compass and a straightedge?

OpenStudy (freemap):

@Algorithm are you going to help me? or are you just viewing the question?

OpenStudy (algorithm):

Dude this is a geometry question. Can only be solved with a compass.

OpenStudy (algorithm):

try using your compass

OpenStudy (luckyness):

I agree, please post this is Geometry next time :)

OpenStudy (freemap):

@Algorithm @Luckyness I'm asking for the steps to construct not actually doing it

OpenStudy (algorithm):

Try experimenting with 45 deg arcs. I guess thats should do the trick.

OpenStudy (freemap):

please I just need the steps nothing else

@rebeccaxhawaii

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

you are making a hexagon ?

OpenStudy (freemap):

They just gave me the line and said construct a regular hexagon centered about point A. I can assume they want me to make a hexagon. By the way I just need the steps

OpenStudy (freemap):

I get what you did, you made a hexagon, but what were the steps you took?

OpenStudy (freemap):

I'm not writting anymore for some reason it won't get rid of the pencil

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

i put the line at the center of the hexagon

OpenStudy (freemap):

and just made lines on the sides

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

the "lines" are the sides of the hexagon

It's been a while since I've done this but this is a good reference. http://www.mathopenref.com/consthexagon.html First, draw a circle with the compass. Next, start at any point with the compass and make marks all the way around at the same length. Now use the straight edge to connect the marks.
