OpenStudy (janu16):

Your boss hands you the monthly data that show the number of orders coming in to and out of the warehouse. The data are in the table below. Explain to your boss, in complete sentences, the solution to this system and what the solution represents. Month #. of orders in No. of orders out January (1) 3 1 February (2) 4 3 March (3) 5 5 April (4) 6 7

OpenStudy (janu16):

@jim_thompson5910 i dont get whatthe question is asking for

OpenStudy (janu16):

it says explain the solution to the system but what system? do i make my own?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

something seems missing but I can't figure out what exactly

OpenStudy (janu16):

thats all the question had

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok let me think

OpenStudy (janu16):

ok

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

can I see a screenshot of the full problem?

OpenStudy (janu16):

i dont have it anyomore cause if you refrsh the page, you have to tell your teacher to reset it so i can seee it again tomorrow

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I don't agree. Not all solutions are where y = x. There has to be more to this problem that isn't being shown here. Maybe it's referencing a previous problem?

OpenStudy (janu16):

no there are total 2 different word problems

OpenStudy (janu16):

the last problem was about a grpah that i asked you earlier

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hmm maybe it's saying that if you order more in than what you sell out is a bad idea. Or if you sell more than you order then it's no possible. Though I don't know how that's possible. So I guess the optimal place to be is where you order as much as you sell

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

of course there's always roll over which I didn't think about til now

OpenStudy (janu16):

oh

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry I'm still not sure about this one

OpenStudy (janu16):

is it asking what month they will have same value?

OpenStudy (janu16):

@ganeshie8 do you think you can explain what this problem is trying to ask? what system are they talking about?

OpenStudy (janu16):

@rebeccaxhawaii

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

im not sure either

OpenStudy (janu16):

ok

OpenStudy (janu16):

@ganeshie8
