Your thoughts?

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

Do you understand what standard form is?

Miracrown (miracrown):

We have these four terms: \[-7x^2, -x^3, x^5, 2\] We want these in order of greatest to least Exponent for variable note the 2 (constant term) does not have a variable that will be our last term The first term will be the one with highest exponent, x^5 so we have x^5 first, then -x^3 and -7x^2, finally 2 \[x^5-x^3-7x^2+2\]

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

You are looking for the terms in descending order of the variable.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

which would make it b. because the terms are 5, 3, 2, and 0 respectively.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

x^5−x^3−7x^2+2 @Gokuporter

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

sorry i was afk @okdutchman7

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

okay I understand what you mean now
