1 - True. 2 - False. (Canada and the United States are both democracies. They are also both federal states.) 3 - False. (Many early settlements were built near river valleys, not mountains.)

4 - Don't know this one, sorry. 5 - Probably true. 6 - Both. These countries touch the Pacific Ocean: Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Chile. But all of them, can get to the Ocean. That's why I say both.
