classify the pair of angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A( complementary B( supplementary C( vertical angles D( none of these

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Add the two angles together to see on what kind of angle they make together... \(\Huge{135 + 45 =?}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u handle six more questions

563blackghost (563blackghost):

hmmm well i can try :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just tell me when to stop

563blackghost (563blackghost):

okie dokie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the value of x in the figure A( 34.9 degrees B( 55.1 degrees C( 90 degrees D( 124.9 degrees

563blackghost (563blackghost):

We have square in the corner of the angle which determines that this is a 90 degree angle or a right angle....In order to find x we would subtract the known part of the angle by 90.... \(\Huge{90 - 55.1 = angle}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A( 8 degrees B( 18degrees C( 72degrees D( 108degrees

563blackghost (563blackghost):

This is a straight line now what degree does a straight line have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

72 degrees

563blackghost (563blackghost):

That would be incorrect....a straight line has a degree of 180....in order to find x we would subtract the total angle by the known angle.... \(\Huge{180-72=angle ~x}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct ^^

563blackghost (563blackghost):

im sorry but i have to go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

classify the triangle by its angles A(acute B(right C(obtuse D(scalene

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Look at this pic....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ghostgate

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Okay, here's some helpful advice on how to memorize each thing here: Equilateral Triangle = All sides "equal" one another and therefore are all the same. Isosceles Triangle = Two sides are the same, another is different look at the 'sos' in the middle, there's one 'o'(your different angle) and two s's which are your similar angles. Scalene Triangle = Nothing is alike. Acute Triangle/Angle = Most people say "cute" things are small, so it would be smaller than 90 degrees. Right Triangle/Angle = This one is exactly 90 degrees and is "right" on track. Obtuse Triangle/Angle = Think of it as an "obese" or large angle that is larger than 90 degrees. Does that help? I did post something similar on another question you had before. {---Ghostgate---}
