some constellations such as ursa minor are visible in the sky year round; other constellations appear for only part of the year. Explain why this happens.

I guess it has something to do with the earths axis which tilts at 23'5 degrees to the vertical. Stars that are lower in the horizon would only appear in some of the seasons.
