rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

plug those points into the equation

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

The second one just find the slope and see if it is positive or not

OpenStudy (candyme):

For #5 you need to plug the points into the equation and see if they work. For #6 you need to use the formula for slope of a line\[slope=\frac{ y _{2} -y _{1}}{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ik the answer to the second answer but need help on first one tho

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Well use your x and v value and put it into the equation to see if each side are the same

OpenStudy (candyme):

You have your equation: y=9x-4 You have the sets of points in (x,y) format. Plug the x part of the point into the x part of the equation and see if you get the y part as your answer. The answer you want will be the one where all three points work in your equation.

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Should we show you an example of how to do it?

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

The first coordinate they give you is (-5,-49) so what is your x and y?

OpenStudy (kayders1997):

Candy even showed the format of how coordinates word
