hi

OpenStudy (welshfella):

http://www.mathopenref.com/coordgeneralellipse.html Check that out and you'll understand how to get the answer

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm confused. @Bobo-i-bo Can you help?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

@welshfella It sort of looks like the numbers I would have are 5 and 4, so it could be option B or D.

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Take a look at this and play around with the sliders on the left side and observe what happens to the ellipse. https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ofhkziouyi If it still doesn't help come back :)

OpenStudy (liv1234):

@Bobo-i-bo It didn't help

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Would it be option B?

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

No. Do you understand how an equation can represent a graph?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I think it might be option A now because when you do 4^2=16 and 5^2=25

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

That is the correct answer... but I'm not sure you understand why?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I somewhat do from reading the link that was given on here.
