OpenStudy (faiqraees):
Diameter = 2r
Circumference = 2πr
Circumference = 2r * π
Circumference = Diameter * π

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):
you are given diameter and radius is half that - so divide your diameter by 2 to get your radius then plug it in to the formula

OpenStudy (faiqraees):
Or you can just multiply the diameter with π

Actually, no. "Exact circumference" would require that you not round off the valule of pi.
Instead, write 16pi.

Too bad that none of the answer choices match that. 48 inches is not the "exact" circumference, altho 48 inches is closest to the exact circumference.
