Please help, will MEDAL and FOLLOW! :) Write a vector equation of the line that passes through p(3,3) and is parallel to vector a=<9,-6)

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

parallel vectors ( Direction vector of the equation = <9,-6> ) Equation = Coordinate + Direction vector = (3,3)+<9,-6>t

OpenStudy (tvinsant):

@faiqraees Hi, sorry my internet froze for a couple minutes

OpenStudy (tvinsant):

Sorry I don't know how it fits

OpenStudy (tvinsant):

@reemii please help me

OpenStudy (tvinsant):

@irishboy123

OpenStudy (reemii):

@FaiqRaees is right. <x,y>=(3,3)+<9,-6>t is the equation other form: <x,y>=<12,3-6t>

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

so get a start point for the vector, and you've been given that! then get a direction for the vector, and you've been given that too!

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @reemii @FaiqRaees is right. <x,y>=(3,3)+<9,-6>t is the equation other form: <x,y>=<12,3-6t> \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Shouldn't the other form be <x,y>=<3+9t,3-6t>

OpenStudy (reemii):

Again, @FaiqRaees , you are right. I forgot that little `\(t\)´.
