some math help

OpenStudy (4everaddicted2anime):

Since both equation equal y you can set them equal to each other to get\[2x^2-3=3x-1\]

OpenStudy (countryboy15):

okay what would it be then

OpenStudy (4everaddicted2anime):

Now we can move the -3 to the right side of the = sign by +3 to get \[2x^2=3x+2\]

OpenStudy (countryboy15):

ccorrect

OpenStudy (4everaddicted2anime):

From here I would plug the possible answers into the equation to see which one make this equation true

OpenStudy (countryboy15):

okay

OpenStudy (4everaddicted2anime):

From what I plugged in, only the coordinate pair (2,5) made the equation true. I'm guessing that because not both of the coordinates make this equation true, there is no solution

OpenStudy (countryboy15):

so theres no solution???? thats why i could not figure it out thanks

OpenStudy (4everaddicted2anime):

yw

OpenStudy (countryboy15):

thanks :)
