OpenStudy (ffasinger):

What is the point-slope form of a line with a slope of -5 that contains the point (2,-1)? A y-1=-5(x,-2) B y+1=5(x+2) Cy+1=-5(x-2) Dy -1=5(x+2)

@A_Burning_Masquerade

OpenStudy (simplymarie_x):

The formula for point slope form is \[y - y _{1} = m(x - x _{1})\]

OpenStudy (simplymarie_x):

So can you plug in your given numbers into that equation?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

I can try , I am not the best at theses things...

OpenStudy (simplymarie_x):

Give it a try. :-) Remember that it gives you the points (2, -1) and points are (x, y). and m = slope. which it gave you

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

I think it is C. @simplymarie_x

OpenStudy (simplymarie_x):

Yes, correct! :-)

OpenStudy (a_burning_masquerade):

I'm sorry wasn't anywhere near my computer. Did you get it right? Could I help any?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

@A_Burning_Masquerade I did get right but i could still use some more help..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you still need help

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

nope i got it

OpenStudy (ffasinger):
