OpenStudy (nitroster):

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

I'm here.

OpenStudy (nitroster):

and that's it :) Hey! Thanks!!

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

Correct! Nice job.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice thats good :)

OpenStudy (nitroster):

for both? :D thx

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

Parallelogram formula = B * H Triangle area formula = 1/2base*h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hah lets pass medals

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

Add the two together, and you have your answer!

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

You want one? XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gave u 2!

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

Thanx! Lolz

OpenStudy (nitroster):

lol, what was he talking about with the extra formulas? Did I do it right? Number 3 is mostly the one I'm iffy on, but I switched the figure around xD

OpenStudy (nitroster):

I first found the area of the triangle but then I switched the parallelogram around so that 9 is the base and 11 is the height. I added both area's together for my answer. Good?

OpenStudy (nitroster):

Just want to make sure my method was good @mathmagician2201

OpenStudy (mathmagician2201):

Yes. You don't need to move the triangle on the parallelogram because the formula is the same for a square, and your method was exactly what you should have done. The reason not to move the triangles is because in the future you will have irregular parallelograms, and this formula will not work. But that is in the future, so worry about the now. Great job!
