Is the passage of dialogue written correctly or incorrectly? "I do hope you're right," replied the customer. "Would you like to have it gift-wrapped?" inquired the clerk. "No, thank you," the man said. A. correctly B. incorrectly

I don't see anything wrong with it, so correct. However it the first sentence originally separated as a separate paragraph like the last sentence is from the second sentence?

I cannot tell.. It seems as though it is correct, but the comma at the end of "thank you." makes me doubt that it is.
I believe the comma is correct because the full statement is not over, as the author still explains how the dialogue was told. http://theeditorsblog.net/2010/12/08/punctuation-in-dialogue/ but i am doubting it because if there is more than one speaker in a given paragraph then it would be incorrect, as a new paragraph needs to be started when someone else speaks.
Is it supposed to look like A or B?
B
It's incorrect.
