OpenStudy (habbababba1):

will fan and medal please help!!!!!!

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

If a line with a slope of -2 crosses the y-axis at (0, 3), what is the equation of the line? y − 2x = 3 -2y + 3x = 1 y + 3x = 2 y + 2x = 3

OpenStudy (helpkay):

ok do you know y=mx=b

OpenStudy (helpkay):

y=mx+B

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

ive used the equation before but trust me i am terrible at math

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

m=-2 b=3

OpenStudy (helpkay):

ok to graph I math way https://mathway.com/graph

OpenStudy (helpkay):

remember it has to cross at 0, 3

OpenStudy (helpkay):

but first we need to change it to y=mx+b

OpenStudy (helpkay):

are you still with me @FaiqRaees

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

im still lost

OpenStudy (helpkay):

ok sorry

OpenStudy (helpkay):

first lets look at pappa math http://www.mathpapa.com/algebra-calculator.html

OpenStudy (helpkay):

tell me when you got it open

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

i figured it out

OpenStudy (helpkay):

ok great :)

OpenStudy (helpkay):

what is your answer

OpenStudy (helpkay):

sorry I taged the wrong person @FaiqRaees

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

The equation of the line is y = slope *x + y intercept Slope = -2 y = -2x + y intercept y intercept = 3 y = -2x +3 y+2x = 3 There you go the answer is D

OpenStudy (helpkay):

yes but i was trying to let them do it on their own that for the info
