okay
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Lets see it
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Find the integral of cos(x^2) from 0 to 1 using the midpoint rule and trapezoidal rule and graph

I don't know where to start
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Lets first find the formula (I'm on my phone so I can't use the equation button sorry)
(Delta X /2)(f(X0) + 2f(x1) + 2f(x2).... + f(xn)
Basically the first and last are f(x) and everything in between are 2f(X)
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Okay
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Oh yeah I forgot to mention n=4
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Ahh OK, do you know how to find Delta X

B-a/2?
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Right, what would that be
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
1/2
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
I think lol
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Yes, now divide that by 2

1/4
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Alright, coolio. Now to find one more thing.
Know how we can find the x1, x2, etc?
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
@FortyTheRapper sorry had to eat
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Ugh plug in the values into the equation?
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Yeah, but which ones? There will be five, since n was 4

0 1/4 1/2 3/4 1?
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
I think
OpenStudy (fortytherapper):
Perfect
So we find f(0) + 2f(1/4) + 2f(1/2) + 2f(3/4) + f(1)
Then multiply all that by 1/4
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Okay
OpenStudy (kayders1997):
Thank you :)
