As the 3:00 bell rang. The students slammed their books shut and bolted from the room. Fix sentence fragment?

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

@Cicilybailey14 What do you need help with?

OpenStudy (cicilybailey14):

functions!

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

As the 3:00 bell rang, the students slammed their books shut and bolted from the room. @CandymanXL

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Do you know what makes a function? @cicilybailey14

OpenStudy (cicilybailey14):

No?

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Okay. Well you have x and y. And x can only go to one number. Example (((2,4) 3,8 (1,5) That is a function. (1,5) (1,8) 3,5 is not a function. So if your x represt more then one's it isn't a function

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Therefore B can only be the correct answer

OpenStudy (cicilybailey14):

Thanks!

Ralph has been awarded some money in a settlement. He has the option to take a lump sum payment of $425,000 or get paid an annuity of $2,000 per month for the next 25 years. Which is the better deal for Ralph, and by how much, assuming the growth rate of the economy is 5.15% per year? Lump Sum: by $91,772.64 Lump Sum: by $34,251.30 Annuity: by $91,772.64 Annuity: by $34,251.30

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Give me one second. This is tricky!

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

2,000 × 12 × 25 = ?

He should have turned on the radio. To learn how bad the storm was. Same thin as the last, fixing sentence fragments.

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Candyman, do you know what a sentence fragment is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Apparently not.

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Fragments are incomplete sentences. Usually, fragments are pieces of sentences that have become disconnected from the main clause

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"He should have turned on the radio. To learn how bad the storm was." So it would be a comma because I do not think either of those are complete sentences.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Meh, apparently not the computer told me I was wrong.

OpenStudy (blueberries1516):

Well what were your choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There were no choices it was a question to where I needed to correct the sentence fragment or leave it as it was. But honestly I don't know how either of us was wrong, those could not be sentences.

OpenStudy (rockinhood):

Lol that's not any of the answer choices? I have both formulas
