2x^2 + 14X < -12

alones (alones):

2x^2+14x=−12 2x^2+14x−(−12)=−12−(−12) subtract -12 from both sides 2x^2+14x+12=0 2(x+1)(x+6)=0(factor left side of equation) x+1=0 or x+6=0(set factors equal to 0) x=−1 or x=−6 x<−6(doesn't work in original inequality) −6<x<−1(Works in original inequality) x>−1(Doesn't work in original inequality) so basically the asnwer is −6<x<−1
