Help plz. @F-Jayyy Question 1: Shakespeare compares life to a play in the speech “all the world’s a stage.” To what does he compare men and women? A. To patrons who pay for the play B. To actors who play roles C. To stagehands who create the sets D. To audiences who applaud

OpenStudy (bannana43):

“All the world’s a stage” All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms. Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress’s eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden, and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lin’d, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,With spectacles on nose, and pouch on side, His youthful hose, well sav’d, a world too wide For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness, and mere oblivion, Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

OpenStudy (bannana43):

@helpkay do you know how to do this. this is 10th grade work, just to let you know.

OpenStudy (helpkay):

i have an idea but not really what do you think it is

OpenStudy (bannana43):

i think A

OpenStudy (bannana43):

but not sure

OpenStudy (helpkay):

I would say A because it says Shakespeare compares life to a play in the speech then it says All the world’s a stage i think he is comparing the life of the people who are watching the play to the life of the people in the play but i'm not 100% sure

OpenStudy (bannana43):

so i should say A, Because i am not sure @F_Jayyy

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances,

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

pretty sure its kinda obvious right there....players is pretty much the same thing as actor...and actors have "exits and entrances" so i would go with B
