Why is it so important to clean your glassware and instruments when you finish an experiment? There is no reason; it's just busy work that your teacher assigns. If the glassware isn't clean, the chemicals remaining on the glassware may react violently with the next chemicals that you use. The glassware needs to look good while it is stored away. If the glassware isn't clean, the chemicals may scratch the glass.
What do you think? "If the glassware isn't clean, the chemicals may scratch the glass." Who cares about a scratch on the glass? "The glassware needs to look good while it is stored away." The point of science isn't to "look good". "If the glassware isn't clean, the chemicals remaining on the glassware may react violently with the next chemicals that you use." Explosions are something I'd rather avoid. What do you think the answer is?
ya know kidding
You should post this in one of the science boards. This is not a math question.
This isn't even a science question, it's a question of common sense. You clean your lab equipment because there's still harmful chemicals on it, not so that it "looks nice".
