What's the difference between ACT and SAT? I'm taking the ACT Tomorrow.

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

The ACT is a standardized test admissions officers use to compare applicants from different schools and different states. SAT is a test of a student's academic skills, used for admission to US colleges

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

basically the same tests however the act focuses more on material directly learned in the classroom. imo the sat is easier

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

IMO, the ACT is easier. ACT tests you on science, which the SAT does not. But the science they test you on is not really science. It's more of an application of science. You just need to be able to read graphs and tables and interpret data. ACT tests higher level math. SAT has trickier questions in math, however. You have to use like certain tricks and techniques to get the answers correct. Take both tests, and do your best on it. And you can send colleges the better scores, whether it is ACT or SAT.

OpenStudy (instagrammodel):

ohhh

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Well, you can send colleges the better score but you'll have to pay for it. Otherwise, you can send it for free without you knowing what the scores on either exam or :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Also, the SAT is usually held a week or two before the ACT. So, you might want to sign up for the two tests that are right after one another since most of the stuff you study for in SAT (like the English sections) will help you in the ACT too. The new SAT is supposed to be easier (because they're getting rid of the huge vocab, but they said that a long time too), but I took the old one, so I can't really attest to it.

The ACT is easier.
