sos I need help on three questions. I am so very confused. Give an example of each of the following. explain your choices. - where the mean provides the most useful information - where the median provides the most useful information - where the mode provides the most usedul information

OpenStudy (ssddss02):

idk

@sweetburger

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Lets start with the definition of these items. The mean is the average. The median is the middle point of a list of items. The mode is the item that occurs the most in a data set.

okey dokey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand giving an example of each but what do they mean by explain your choices? I'm just giving an example of what they are, right? @sweetburger

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Basically yes you are right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh well thats easy then lol @sweetburger

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Using the mean is more benefical when you get a steady trend of data in a number set with minimum extreme values/outliers. The median can be more benefical when a large amount of extreme values exist in the data set outside of a steady trend.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

The mode would be useful for analyzing a set of numbers in which a single value reappears very often.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Hope this helped out.

THANK YOU SO FLIPPEN MUCH AHHH @sweetburger
