OpenStudy (pphalke):

can i get help on this one

OpenStudy (pphalke):

OpenStudy (pphalke):

i know y int is (0,-8) how do i graph -10/9 from there

OpenStudy (pphalke):

@Aveline @ONYXxELITE

OpenStudy (pphalke):

@TheSmartOne @Mehek14

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

or what you can also do is follow \(\huge \frac{\text{rise}}{\text{run}}\) since the slope is \(\frac{-10}{9}\), it means that from the point that you start from (0,-8) you will move 10 units down (because of the negative in -10) and 9 spaces to the right (since it's positive). do that to get to the next point and then continue on with that rule.

OpenStudy (pphalke):

what would i get if i did that (0,-8) and

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (pphalke):

well wehn i went to try it was -27 and 18 and we dont have a -27

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

so if you start from (0,-8) the next point would be (-2, 9) i don't know how you are getting those coordinates

OpenStudy (pphalke):

it seems close is it ok

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

disregard what i said about the next point i messed up

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

(0,-8) -> (9,-18)

OpenStudy (pphalke):

ok i figured those coordiantes looked close
