What page is the quote on? It's from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I need to quote it for an essay but I'm not sure what page it was on. "Nothing is more painful to the human mind than, after the feelings have been worked up by a quick succession of events, the dead calmness of inaction and certainty which follows and deprives the soul both of hope and fear."

Read the book?

OpenStudy (leozap1):

I've read the book, but I don't remember the page number. I looked it up but couldn't find anything.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

I just need the page number so I can quote it in my essay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure what page it's on, but it;s in chapter nine, so just skim through that and you'll find it.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Thanks!
