@jhonyy9

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i think option a.) is correct

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I never seen terms "strong argument" and "weak argument", but I think I understood it from the question just now. Yes, I agree that option A is correct.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

strong argument =directly related, not based on personal choice,true, meaningful. weak argument=contrary to social,repetition, personel

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

but in book option d.) is given correct

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Don't really know, this isn't really maths afterall :P I guess they are both opinionated on the belief that it's bad for children?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i dont know why I is not a strong argument

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

@jhonyy9

OpenStudy (freckles):

I guess because neither argument support their claims by actual evidence .

OpenStudy (freckles):

i like their smoking example

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

"children are affected" this is an evidence ?

OpenStudy (freckles):

how does it affect children isn't answered

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

well i already give strong vs weak as par my book strong argument =directly related, not based on personal choice,true, meaningful. weak argument=contrary to social,repetition, personel

OpenStudy (freckles):

Ok it is just my opinion I probably would have said yes maybe if it said it affects children because they like to mimic what adults do... if they see an adult rob someone, they might think it is okay. I don't know. You should probably go with your own opinion.
