A 5-month-old infant regularly sees her father turn on the television with a remote. She is unable to figure out the cause-effect relationship (i.e. what made the television turn on) because of a lack of: a. Covariation b. Precedence c. Physical Contiguity d. Temporal Contiguity
I think this is a Sciences question... specifically \(\text{Biology}\). The link to that forum is here: math.openstudy.com/groups/biology But anyway... what do you have so far? Any ideas?
Is this psychology?
Oops, I meant Psychology* But nobody ever goes on that forum so I think it will be fine in Biology lol
I think its contiguity but i don't know which one. i thought it was spatial contiguity but is not in the answer section.
Well, I believe physical usually has to do with kinesthetic, or "doing" Here the infant is just observing an action, so that probably wouldn't fit.
I am pretty sure this is Temporal Contiguity. That is when two stimuli happen at about the same time and there forms an association with each other.

oh ok I see. Thanks!
