May someone check my answers? Posting it below.

jabez177 (jabez177):

1.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

1 is right

OpenStudy (phi):

looks ok.

jabez177 (jabez177):

2.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

2 is good

jabez177 (jabez177):

3.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

where did u rotate it counterclockwise?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Around the origin.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

where did you draw it tho?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Here

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

its rotate clockwise not counterclockwise

jabez177 (jabez177):

Thought so... Let me correct that.

jabez177 (jabez177):

4.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

4 is correct

jabez177 (jabez177):

5.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

5 is correct

jabez177 (jabez177):

Number 6 I need help on...

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Well, if you rotated it 90 degrees counterclockwise, you'd have A (2, -3), B (2,1), C(4,1) and D(4, -3). There is one more step....think you could figure it out? ;)

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Well, rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise on point A... http://prnt.sc/b26skh

jabez177 (jabez177):

Reflection across the x-axis?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Wait...

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Close (:

jabez177 (jabez177):

Rotation around the origin A? :/ Or how does that work? :/

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

you'd reflect it across the y-axis after the first step where you rotate it around point A...I'm not sure how to word that

jabez177 (jabez177):

So first rotate it around the origin 90 degrees. Then reflect it across the y-axis?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

origin would be the middle of the square? I don't know ;~; the second step is correct though

jabez177 (jabez177):

Yeah, that's the tiny little dot in the middle of the graph.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Let me look again

jabez177 (jabez177):

kk

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

You rotate it around point A(2,-3)...I'm not sure how to write that though

jabez177 (jabez177):

@Directrix, may you help? :)

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

"rotation about a point"

jabez177 (jabez177):

What happens if we rotate it 90 degrees clockwise then reflect it across the x-axis?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

That wouldn't work...but rotating it clockwise and shifting up 6 units might work

jabez177 (jabez177):

Rotating around the origin I meant?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

that's what I mean lol, the other object isn't completely over the x axis.... I have no idea ;~;

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Jay would probably know ._.

jabez177 (jabez177):

Do you think I should tag TSO or Rebecca? :/

jabez177 (jabez177):

Jay is online? :/

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Yep yep

jabez177 (jabez177):

@jhonyy9

jabez177 (jabez177):

@ikram002p

jabez177 (jabez177):

@Photon336

jabez177 (jabez177):

@Anaise

jabez177 (jabez177):

@MrNood

jabez177 (jabez177):

@UsukiDoll

jabez177 (jabez177):

@rebeccaxhawaii

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

whats your question

jabez177 (jabez177):

#6 and read what Haley and I were talking about then you'll get the point.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/57311359e4b0189ae3d6528a-jabez177-1462834737021-image.jpeg you rotate clockwise 90 degrees 4 units to the right, 2 units down.

jabez177 (jabez177):

So that's 2 steps or 3? :/

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

3 steps

jabez177 (jabez177):

The instructions are to use 2 steps. :P

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

okay well then it would be reflects over the y axis then rotates 90 degrees clockwise.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

does that make sense?

jabez177 (jabez177):

90 degrees clockwise around the Origin, right? And yes, that makes sense. :)

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

90 degrees from D

jabez177 (jabez177):

Wait... Rotating it round the origin won't fit... :/

jabez177 (jabez177):

Okay, thanks! :)

jabez177 (jabez177):

So how would you write that? Rotate Rectangle A'B'C'D' 90 degrees around point D? :/ @rebeccaxhawaii

jabez177 (jabez177):

@dmezzullo

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

rotate from point D 90 degrees clockwise

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):
