Which statement BEST summarizes Darwin's explanantion for the different beaks he observed in these finch species? A) The beaks changed so they could eat different foods. B) The beaks of each finch species were the result of natural selection. CThe size and shape of the beaks differed because of the effects of artificial selection. DThe s

Why is this in math, man?

OpenStudy (red_devil822):

because no one is on biology

OpenStudy (asett):

:) that's funny. I'll help you.

OpenStudy (red_devil822):

thanks :)

Remember how evolution works? It works through natural selection - small genetic mutations across generations of a species will place that mutated individual at better odds than their unmated counterparts. In the case of these finches, the beaks don't change within an individual finches lifetime. Instead, the beaks change as the finches go through generations. Does that make sense? Can you make an educated guess?

OpenStudy (red_devil822):

yeah. is it d?

OpenStudy (red_devil822):

no im sorry c
