Jessica stretches her arms out 0.6 m from the center of her body while holding a 2 kg mass in each hand. She then spins around on an ice rink at 1.1 m/s. What is the combined angular momentum of the masses?
@Elsa213
spinning is done in rad/s !! do you get that?
I need to use the formula l=mvr and add all the masses together. How do I do that?
so this kind of spinning? |dw:1463007503703:dw|
Yes I assume so
i am good at spinning, can i help?
Hahaha love the John Abraham pic!
don't laugh at me please. God made me this way. i think if you cast @ikram002p 's drawing in a 2D way, you will get the idea. i can have a go, if you like.
Sure I can use all the help I can get!
lol! but yeah give a try :-\ as Hula said try to determine L,m,v... (recall i don't like symbols)
I think L = linear momentum, m = mass, and v = angular velocity if I am not mistaken.
