what is the formula for oxide?

"oxide" has no formula. An oxide is just a compound (or atom) that has had its valence orbitals satisfied with oxygen molecules. There are a vast number of oxides, each with different formulas. ie. Iron (III) Oxide: Fe2O3 Potassium Oxide: K2O Google.
