Medal + Fan! I want a walk through and answer, not just the answer. What is the height of this cylinder? A 18in B 11.3in C 7.2in D 3.6in
@Mehek14 Do you happen to know how to work this?
Formula = \(\pi r^2h\\ \pi * 5^2 * h = 282.7\)
You have to remember that the volume of the cylinder is the area times the height, since the area of the circle is given by pi times r^2, and the height is just h, we have \[ V = \pi r^2h\] From there you can replace the values of V and r, and solve for h, you will have \[h = \cfrac V{\pi r^2}\]
First find \(\pi *5^2\)
That would be 25pi
Yes You can make that 25 * 3.14 = ?
78.5
Divide that with the volume 282.7/78.5 = ?
This will give you the height
3.6 is the height?
Yes :)
Thank you :)
Could you see if you know my next question? @Mehek14
Yw and sure :)
Find the volume of the composite space figure (below) to the nearest whole number. A 210cm^3 B 180cm^3 C 120cm^3 D 60cm^3
3 * 8 * 5 = ? 2 * 5 * 6 = ? Then add those two
120+60 = 180 :) thx
yw :)
