-2/3x+y=-5 y=4+2/3x

OpenStudy (noelle.s.heather):

its graphing and im not sure how to turn it into a graph

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I am assuming that by "-2/3x+y=-5 y=4+2/3x" you meant -2/(3x) + y = -5. When there's any room for ambiguity, please use parentheses. Perhaps you meant (-2/3)x + y = -5. See the difference? So, again, please use parentheses, so that your reader will know what you meant and where to start multiplication, division, addition and/or subtraction.

OpenStudy (noelle.s.heather):

oh ok sorry about that I typed it in the way it had appeared.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

In that case you may have to make assumptions about what was meant in the original problem you copied, and share them with potential helpers. it's important to reduce ambiguity as far as you possibly can, so that you and your helpers are on the same track.
